How To Create A Chatwing Chatroom and Setting it Up on Your Site

By Aaron. Posted on 29 October 2013
Providing satisfaction to the site viewers is one of the most important tasks of a site owner. He or she must make sure that they are always provided with the information they need and that the services they are offered are done swiftly and correctly.  If you’re a site owner and you’re aiming to have a customer friendly site for your clients, then you need to have a nifty chatting tool like Chatwing embedded on your site. Because when it comes to providing customer satisfaction through live chat, this chat software comes second to none.

Embedding this on your site can be done through these steps.

1. Registration

Creating a Chatwing account is compulsory as it is the only way you can make a chatbox of your own. You can register at the Chatwing homepage and clicking on the Register button. The form will only require a valid email and a password so finishing this step can be done in less than a minute or so.

2. Creating a Chatbox

The Dashboard page is where you can get a view of all the chatrooms you have created – you can have several ones if you like. This is also where you can create one by pressing the Create chatbox button. If you did create one, then there should be two chatrooms you can use – the one you just made and the one already supplied to you. Choose one and press the corresponding Customize button on the side.

3. Modify the Chatbox

Before using the chatroom, modify it first in the Customization Page. The process can be done in two ways – Basic and Advanced mode. The only difference between the two is that the Advanced mode allows more options for the user to change. The process is separated into tabs, each with its own Save button. You need to press these as you modify your chatbox before going to the next tab in order to implement those changes.

When you’re done, press the Use button on the upper part of the page to head for the embedding page.

4. Embedding

You should be seeing three tabs in this page – Group Chat URL, Embedded Options and Popout Options. These are the methods that are available in using the chatbox. Since you’ll be embedding it on your site, pick Embedded Options.

In this tab you’ll see some measurement tools that you need to use to size up your chatbox before embedding it on your site. This is important as you would want your chatroom’s site to be just right.

Once you’re done adjusting, look for the html codes of your chatbox inside the Javascript box. Copy that along with the single line of codes just below it (not the iFrame one) and paste it on your site. There are instructions written there that will tell you where to put the codes.

After that, save the changes you’ve made on your site and open it again. The chatroom should be up and running on your site.

When you’re done embedding it, just make sure you manage it so that your viewers can enjoy their time using the chatroom. You don’t have to worry a thing – it’s very easy to manage through the use of its features. You won’t even have to be bothered by people that will spam the place as can kick them out and erase all the messages they’ve made with a simple click of the mouse. Chatwing is a tool that can easily support your site and will definitely be a great help in providing customer satisfaction.
